Neolith serves up interior solutions to global restaurants

From the restaurant exterior through to the menu and front of house experience, all aspects form part of the overall dining experience and interior décor plays an integral part in this. As such, more restauranteurs across Europe are turning to Neolith to provide a solution for both surfacing and interior design, in order to increase their share in the 427 billion euros consumer foodservice market.

ENIGMA, Barcelona, Spain

The 100% natural range of Neolith Sintered Stone designs are also suitable for commercial kitchens. The surface is resistant to wear and tear, scratches and heat while remaining hygienic and easy to clean, a paramount concern for food preparation. Significantly, Neolith slabs were chosen for their scratch and heat resistance qualities and to withstand impact of knives and temperatures of pans for The Kitchen, part of luxury hotel Chewton Glen (UK). This purpose built cookery school offers a selection of classes overseen by popular UK TV chef and alumni James Martin.

Neolith allows for a high-degree of design flexibility, creating interior environments across all site aspects which not only looks good, but enhance the overall eating out experience while remaining resistant to wear and tear over time. It offers owner operators the dual-assurance of both long-term value and durability. Designers at Neolith offer a bespoke service which is why 2017 Pritzker Prize winners RCR Arquitectes specified it for ENIGMA, the vision of world renowned Catalan chef Albert Adrià. This responds directly to the restaurateurs’ ongoing business aims of increasing footfall and appealing to new consumers.

A unique design and a strong aesthetic is a key part of the overall experience. So for this project, Neolith developed the technology to print a unique watercolour design onto slabs, producing a perfect replica of the drawing which was used to create a unique surfacing material for the new restaurant. Mar Esteve Cortes, Marketing Director at TheSize comments: “A restaurant’s interior forms part of the wider dining experience.

Neolith is proving popular with cookery schools through to high end restaurants and casual dining outlets for its clever combination of durability and deluxe elegance of its finish. Flowing from kitchen through to table, Neolith can create a harmonious finish, especially where the kitchen and chefs are on show to diners.

It really adds to the overall theatre of eating out. We’re proud to bring our ‘know-how’ to the sector with our innovative and versatile surface.” With a sustainable supply chain being key, restaurateurs can also be safe in the knowledge that Neolith offers a long-lasting solution which is 100% natural backed up by innovative technology. Neolith was specified by architect Naia Eguino for being eco-friendly, as well as possessing hygienic and waterproof qualities, for Eneko Atxa’s internationally recognised 3 Michelin starred Azurmendi restaurant in Spain.
