Plascon House Tour: Elegant Living

This home is more than the sum of its parts; and yet, the simplicity of its furnishings, architecture and style combine to create a timeless, elegant and striking atmosphere ideal for luxurious living.

The living room feels as it is it floating in space, thanks to the clever use of windows and the intrinsic connection the interiors share with the outside surrounds. An all-white interior is an obvious choice here, so that the exterior becomes the focal point of this fascinating space. In the middle of the room, a roaring fireplace creates a space of comfort and ease – the perfect spot by which to unwind and enjoy family living. The open plan space extends to a gorgeous white kitchen – which opens up to the living room to experience the natural lighting and external views that are prominent throughout. A simple white kitchen island is timeless and creates pleasant flow here with ample seating scattered throughout this massive expanse (from the living room, to the kitchen and study nook in the one end of the room). Although the space is separated into various functional areas, each is united in their neutral colour palette and celebration of lightness. Nature is the real winner in this home. Greenery is brought in through a beautifully simple glass vase with a collection of earthy objects and glass decor grouped neatly on the counter. Unrefined, simple and elegant. The bedroom is serene in similar shades of white which surface in every room of the house. A poster-bed creates the perfect frame for this modern bed, and a full-length library wall adds dimension to this room. Simple neutral bedding and soft white drapes add to the softness of this space.
