SA Décor & Design took centre stage at this year’s 100% Design Africa, unveiling a stand that embodied timeless elegance, design-forward thinking, and curated excellence. Known as Africa’s premier platform for contemporary design, the exhibition provided the perfect backdrop to reflect the sophistication and legacy of the SA Décor & Design Buyers Guide — now in its 27th year of inspiring the industry.

A Stand that Told a Story

The concept was simple yet powerful: create a living editorial. The stand was not just a visual display, but an immersive experience. With its clean architectural lines, layered textures, and refined colour palette, the space felt like stepping onto the pages of a high-end design publication — curated, considered, and captivating.

Every element of the stand spoke to a deeper design philosophy — one where storytelling meets function. From natural wood tones to elegant brass finishes and soft ambient lighting, the mood was warm, welcoming, and intentionally styled to mirror the editorial aesthetic of the print guide.

The Buyers Guide: A Hero in the Spotlight

At the heart of the stand was the SA Décor & Design Buyers Guide, positioned not just as a reference tool but as a collectable, tactile piece of design. Presented on bespoke plinths and styled within intimate vignettes, the guide was highlighted under purposeful lighting that celebrated its craftsmanship, weight, and enduring influence in the decor world.

This wasn’t just about a book — it was a moment.

This year’s installation also embraced a ‘phygital’ approach, merging physical design with digital innovation. The Guide, in combination with South Africa’s leading online platform www.sadecor.co.za, worked together in keeping our brands alive — with award-winning Marcia Loves It providing daily media coverage through our spectacular blog features and social channels.
