Located in a picturesque location in Newlands, Cape Town, this contemporary pool house and cottage designed by La Grange Interiors, is nestled below a striking mountainous backdrop. Architects by  Jane Baldwin 

The attention to the design and the furnishings depict the surroundings. The interiors were put together by Sumari Krige, an innovative Interior Designer based in Cape Town. Her aim was subsequently to create a flowing space. One that allows for entertaining and enjoying long summer days with family and friends.

Nature – indoors and out

The tranquil surroundings of the location tie into the design as natural elements were incorporated throughout. We love the flow from indoors to out – with a design that subsequently embraces the beauty of indoor and outdoor living.

Comfortable seating areas thus extend outdoors and make the most use of the outdoor entertainment spaces at this residence. Relax next to the water, take in the sights of the surrounding mountainscapes and breathe in that fresh mountain air. Here, life comes into balance with an interior that echoes the calming tones and natural feel of the world outside.

Inside, the rooms feel modern yet cosy with many-layered elements that give them a wonderfully warm aesthetic. Furthermore, various textures are incorporated into this cottage. From warm wooden bedroom furniture to rustic natural rugs and accessories that add depth to every room.
