Annie Sloan: Beautiful Chalk Paint Creations – Inside & Out

Keeping us inspired and entertained while indoors, Annie Sloan brings us some of her favourite chalk paint creations. Here we share a few pieces to wow – beautiful inside and out.

First up, these stairs by Australian interiors stylist wowhaus are a huge hit. Perhaps it is because of the colourful Chalk Paint® stairs or the furry friend but either way, both bring so much joy! The stairs have been painted in Pure, with a medley of Giverny, Florence, Antibes Green and Lem Lem (straight from the tin and mixed to create bonus bespoke shades). Rufus, as far as we can see, has not been painted. He is just naturally that cute.

Second up, his wardrobe makeover by Monika of 84 Square is bold and beautiful. This transformation was structural as well as aesthetic, with Monika adding ornate detailing using silicone, plaster of Paris and cornstarch along the top of the furniture. Once improved, Monika needed an equally dramatic paint job to match. Step on up, Chalk Paint® in Paloma and Emile (top of the piece), a mix of Oxford Navy and Burgundy for that rich aubergine shade on the main body, and an emphatic pitch black crescendo of Athenian Black at the feet.

The dark sections have been finished with Black Chalk Paint® Wax and the lighter section with Pearlescent Glaze. The result is a pretty sensational piece of work; reminiscent of stormy skies and tempestuous seas.

This third piece is by Katarina of Farbarela who delivers Chalk Paint® through the UK and across Croatia whilst her shop is closed due to the pandemic. This stencilled dresser is a real beauty in Chalk Paint® in Oxford Navy and Old White.
