Unveiling The Magic Through Willowlamp Factory Tours
Willowlamp believes in sharing the magic of their craft with the design community. Recently, they had the pleasure of hosting several Factory Tours, offering guests an immersive experience into the wonderful world of willowlamp. Let’s take a glimpse into these enchanting visits that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
Design Time’s Interior Architecture & Design Students’ Visit.
On May 31, 2024, the First Year Interior Architecture & Design students from Design Time enthusiastically graced the willowlamp factory with their presence. As they stepped into this new world, they were wowed by the sights and sounds of the creative process. Student Samuel M from Samuel M Design Studio described his experience as “Absolutely stunning,” declaring his trip to willowlamp as the highlight of the week.
The Monumental Ceiling Scape Project and Samuel’s Reaction.
During the tour, willowlamp shared insights into the monumental ceiling scape project commissioned by the renowned Rockwell Group for Cathedrale’s Restaurant and Bar in Las Vegas, USA. Samuel’s reaction, captured in his social media post, perfectly encapsulated the awe and wonder that these chandeliers evoke, and echoed the sentiments of many who have experienced willowlamp’s creations up close.
Always Welcome’s Design Week Factory Tour.
On June 5, willowlamp had the honour of participating in Always Welcome’s Design Week Factory Tour alongside other local design luminaries. Despite the rainy winter weather, design industry heavyweights were welcomed into the tranquil factory studio space. Adam Hoets, founder and creative director guided visitors through the willowlamp journey. It was a pleasure to spend time with Catherine Mo, the newly appointed editor-in-chief of House & Garden magazine, and art aficionado Elana Brudyn, along with members of Cape Town and Windhoek’s design community.
A Grateful Thanks.
Thanks to Always Welcome for including willowlamp in the Meet the Makers Factory Tours and for the warm hospitality at the Cape Town store after the tour. Sharing bubbles, canapés, and chats on a particularly cold and rainy Cape Town afternoon was a delightful experience. These Factory Tours not only showcase true craftsmanship but also highlight the multidimensional beauty of willowlamp chandeliers, leaving a lasting impression on all who visit.
