Wendy’s Eezi quartz story
A Victorian Kitchen Reborn with Eezi quartz Aurelia
Wendy Sibiya, a passionate homeowner with a love for classic design, embarked on a journey to transform her historic 1900s Victorian home. Starting with the heart of the home, the kitchen, Wendy sought to infuse the space with modern elegance while preserving its original charm. Eezi quartz‘s stunning Aurelia countertop was the perfect choice to bring this vision to life.
The Heart of the Home:
The focal point of the kitchen is undoubtedly the stove area, where a striking Aurelia backsplash complements the pot filler faucet, a detail that screams functionality and style. Eezi quartz Aurelia continues to impress, extending past the countertop and framing the wood skirting, creating a seamless flow throughout the space.
For Wendy, entertaining is a joy, and her custom-designed coffee station featuring the Aurelia countertop is a testament to that. Imagine brewing your favorite blend surrounded by the warm, inviting tones of the countertop – it’s the perfect spot to connect with guests and create lasting memories.
The magnificent kitchen island, boasting antique brass finishes, wouldn’t be complete without the Aurelia countertop. The combination exudes a sense of sophistication and timeless elegance, perfectly reflecting the overall theme.
A Symphony of Design Elements:
The magic of this kitchen lies not just in the Eezi quartz countertop but how it interacts with the other design choices. The petrol blue doors create a stunning backdrop, while the framed insert cabinet and gold “sash locks” add a touch of luxury that beautifully complements the Aurelia’s warm tones.
A custom-finished countertop (built up to a 50mm profile edge for extra visual impact) adds a personalized touch, while the antique store plate display injects a hint of history. Wall lights with green shades and wooden bases add a touch of warmth, and the juxtaposition of aged handles lends a unique character. Integrated appliances like the fridge and dishwasher ensure a clean, modern aesthetic.
The butler sink, a white double sink, sits majestically on the stone countertop, preventing water damage while adding a touch of opulence. The solid brass plug and heritage mixer, chosen before the kitchen was even designed, are polished brass masterpieces that tie the entire design together. The additional spray completes the functionality of the sink area, making it both beautiful and practical.
