New Hansgrohe Kitchen Faucet Named Most Popular Kitchen Product Of 2020

At an award ceremony on February 8, 2020 in Frankfurt am Main, the hansgrohe Aquno Select M81 kitchen faucet brought home gold in the KitchenInnovation of the Year® 2020.

The award was accepted by Marc André Palm, Head of Global Brand Marketing for hansgrohe, Jan Heisterhagen, Vice President of Product Management, and Lydia Rombach, head of the kitchen product management team.

For the 14th time, the independent LifeCare initiative presented the internationally recognized awards for products that are especially consumer friendly. In all, 28 products were honoured as KitchenInnovation of the Year® 2020, with ten products securing the top honour in their category, namely the Golden Award – Best of the Best, including the hansgrohe Aquno Select M81 kitchen faucet.

“With its new Aquno Select M81 kitchen faucet, hansgrohe has presented a new system consisting of unconventional product design combined with innovative spray technology and tailored accessories – for ambitious gourmets for whom cooking is more than just simply preparing meals.

“Aquno – the integrated system combining “aqua” and “unit” – makes a tangible forward-thinking interaction with water in the kitchen and, thanks to the clever overall concept, offers the right spray types and functions depending on the respective use. For the first time, the laminar and shower sprays on the pull-out sprayer have been complemented with a wide-area and particularly gentle spray that comes from the integrated base unit. The SatinFlow spray is comprised of many individual streams that form one soft stream that provides a broad flow. The streams envelope food, hands, and objects items without splashing, thereby providing uniform water coverage.

“The base unit in the lower faucet area acts as a “shower” for fruits and vegetables, because the integrated wide-area spray ensures a noticeably gentler distribution of water droplets thanks to its long and broad spout as well as the novel arrangement and number of spray jets. This enables the significantly gentler and yet extremely effective cleaning of food items. Using the multifunction strainer – which is included in the package and fits precisely under the stream – the system ensures a simple and efficient workflow at the sink.”
