Planetworld Launches Rockstar Studios in Kramerville

Planetworld recently announced the launch of its latest experiential showroom, Rockstar Studios, amplifying businesses in the live events, houses of worship, musical instruments, broadcast, AV (audio visual) rental and live entertainment industries.

Rockstar Studios showcases the latest in large format PA (public address) systems, live concert mixing desks, lighting, microphones, and musical instruments. The space also features two state-of-the-art production studios filled with industry-leading products in pre and post-production, radio broadcast and podcasting.

“Rockstar Studios is a place where musicians and sound engineers can come to utilise and test the best tools in the world. Our vision is to become a centre of excellence for the South African music and entertainment community,” Said Kai Reuning, MD of Planetworld Pro.

Rockstar Studio features over 20 industry-leading brands, distributed by Planetworld, including Shure, JBL professional, Soundcraft, Avid, Tama, Ibanez, Paiste, On-Stage Stands, Alto Professional, Rane DJ, Numark and Denon DJ. The venue also acts as a live performance venue where musicians can test their equipment in a live performance format, ensuring they select the correct equipment to bring their visions to life. “The aim is to create a platform where artists, producers and sound engineers can come together to collaborate and create their magic” Said Kai.

Rockstar Studios not only showcases the industry’s leading products in a live-performance venue but will also be a space where Planetworld will connect, engage, and educate the music industry in meaningful ways. “Planetworld aims to engage with the South African music industry through workshops, training and endorsement programs, sound clinics and of course offering the venue for live performances,” said Kai.

Rockstar Studio officially launches on 5 May 2023. The launch event will feature special performances by Vusi Mahlasela and Jermey Loops, two South African icons of the music industry.
