Plascon House Tour: A Victorian Twist
Today’s English home in West Sussex is a celebration of the old-Victorian architecture with a modern decor twist. The residence oozes elegance and class with a few quirky elements that add appeal.
Right from the external facade of the building through to the hallway, we are inspired by the simple colourways and use of materials, with white painted walls and dark wood flooring that adds depth to the room. Antlers draw the eyes upward toward the traditional Victorian ceiling and striking chandelier. The two-toned kitchen is crisp and modern with a fascinating vintage chandelier that adds interest here. We love the modern matte cabinetry in a dark blue grey shade against a white backdrop. Open shelving and gorgeous timber countertops adds depth and richness to the space. The room feels airy and bright, fully kitted out with stainless steel appliances and a mix of vintage kitchen equipment proudly on display on the countertops. It is here where old meets new and modern and traditional work together to create a beautifully eclectic space. A beautifully styled vintage grey desk takes centre stage on the landing. A stunning mix of accessories and decor add to the overall look – all keeping in the muted colour palette. A mix of glass, mirror, metal, prints and even shells work together to complete the look. The home office is cool and calming in a monochromatic colour palette that is modern. A fun gallery wall of family photos in black and white adorn the central wall while a contemporary desk adds modern appeal in white. Sleek and sophisticated, this home office is bright and inviting – a perfect nook for studious contemplation and creative expression. Contact: Plascon via
