Plascon House Tour: A Trendy Toronto Loft

Located in the upper region of Toronto, this stylish 130 sqm loft emits a sense of casual elegance and refined decoration. High ceilings, a striking wall of windows and perfectly styled rooms make for a classy, modern interior with an edgy feel that we love.

The living room comes alive in a play of light and darkness. Wide unadorned windows bring in plenty of light that brightens up the darker tones used throughout the interior. A mix of textures and tones are used throughout this room, with grey walls offset by a beautifully rich wall tapestry as a centrepiece on display in the living room. Interestingly enough, the owner has opted against an elaborate kitchen in favour of a bar for entertainment purposes. Again, the architecture allows for an abundance of natural light through gorgeous full-length windows that continue in this kitchen space. Juxtaposed against a charcoal wall, this room is bright and modern with classic wood as the material of choice for these modern classic chairs. There is also no missing the elaborate decoration of the tapestry-styled headboard in the bedroom. The beautiful patterns and soothing tones complement the cool, sophisticated feel of the entire home. Even the choice of carpet on the bedroom floor works to match the use of calming colours in this space. We love the colour palette of cool blues, aqua and grey that blend together to create this stunning sanctuary of a bedroom. A gorgeously simple study area sees an arrangement of classic wood furniture with a modern wooden desk with elaborate gold drawer handles. A stunning rustic circular mirror adds depth in this space and we also love the bold shape and Industrial feel of the floor lamp used in this room. Again, a bold and vibrant statement rug is used – the cerise tones of which add a zest for life into this tiny study area. Contact: Plascon Trends Via  Photo: Michael Graydon / Styling: Stacy Begg
