Plascon House Tour: A Loft in Russia
A light-filled, earthy and contemporary setting creates a sophisticated ambience in today’s house tour which takes us to a modern loft apartment in Russia.
We love the symmetry of sleek lines and high ceilings that add depth to the interiors of this modern abode. A section of the walls and ceiling are painted in a dark, sultry shade, which creates an interesting illusion of space in the living room, emphasising the height of the space and lifting our eyes up to experience the exquisite urban views just outside the walls of this home. A contemporary light fitting completes the space and a breakfast bar is perfectly positioned to maximise the views through the tall windows here. 
The lounge area feels modern and comfortable with a contemporary grey corner sofa system and leather ottoman that fills the area. A simple arrangement of tables suggest the mobility of the furniture here and we love the neutral shades that are timeless in this space. 
The bathroom oozes an earthy sophistication with the warmth of wooden tones and textures that add a new dimension that is different from the stark white, grey and black shades used in the living spaces. A peaceful sanctuary is created here with floor to ceiling tiles and modern fittings that add to the contemporary feel of this room. Contemporary light pendants add to the elegance of this space, perfectly positioned on either side of a modern mirror. 
In the bedroom, the minimalist black and white theme is continued to create a tranquil sleeping space. Black against white adds to the contemporary feel of this space, complete with industrial style hanging pendants and minimalist side tables on either side of the bed. 
The kitchen is sleek and modern, complete with a mix of light and dark cabinetry which extends the shade of the ceiling down the walls. The darker painted areas frame the room beautifully, creating a cosier space. We also love the innovative use of diagonal tiles as a backsplash here – adding visual interest in this contemporary space.
