Plascon House Tour: A Bold Barn in Kent
Black is bold and totally breathtaking in modern interior design. The same is true in this striking barn conversion in the Kent countryside. Here an unforgettable black wooden ceiling makes a mark in the kitchen, beautifully paired with stunning matte kitchen cabinetry, modern lighting and an abundance of natural light that seeps in through modern windows all around this trendy abode.
The open plan layout is modern and serene – hints of wood combine blissfully with black accents, metal touches and beamed ceilings. A full wall of glass panes makes a striking feature – a great spot to peer out onto the Kent countryside. This is modern open plan living at its best! There is also a fireplace positioned in the one end to add depth and interest in this space.
In fact, this home is filled with windows and views of the outside world. And a pristine herringbone wooden floor oozes style and sophistication in this contemporary retreat. Herringbone is very much on trend in flooring at the moment – highlighting your floors in true style! In this home, we also see that pot plants are carefully placed in strategic spots, bringing a touch of greenery to the interior.
The loft-styled bedroom features vaulted ceilings and custom wooden cladding, again in a breathtaking black that pops against a neutral palette. Simple, chic and a place of perfect tranquility. We also love the minimalist use of lighting in this space with a vintage bulb that adds some Industrial style to this room.
