Plascon House Tour: Blissful in Blue
This perfectly styled Swedish apartment carries a subtle blue tone throughout the space, thanks to the vibrant wall colours that help to set the atmosphere. The living room evidently takes centre stage with its deep grey-blue walls that pop against a lighter floor and white ceiling with stunning trimmings.
Stunning feature rustic wooden doors open up into the master bedroom. The natural timber tone of these gorgeous doors stand out against the walls and add an earthy, natural vibe to the place. We also love the use of interesting light fixtures throughout, from a modern freestanding metallic black floor lamp to an Industrial-styled pendant above the coffee table and an oversized globe chandelier fitting above the bed. The kitchen takes on a life of its own, with beautiful subway tiles in white and a playful floral wallpaper that adds interest in this space. The room is filled with light, thanks to the abundance of natural light pouring in from the adjacent doorway, but also due to the choice of modern white cabinets and tiles that add freshness and energy in this kitchen area. The blue light theme continues into the bedroom with similar tones being used throughout. We love the sheer grey window treatments – not too dark, but ideal to bring in natural lighting into this space. Even the doggy bed is made to match and the luxury textiles of both the furry doggy bed and bed linen, makes a bold statement. This is definitely a stylish retreat for both pet and owner! A perfectly contemporary bathroom boasts floor to ceiling tiles in a crisp white finish that is ideal in this modern space. Although an unconventional shape for a bathroom, the fixtures have been perfectly positioned, from the freestanding bath that has been angled against a slanted wall, to the window position to maximise light and airiness within this special room.
