Maldini Presents The Latest From Pianca

Decidedly minimalist and modern with a healthy dose of biophilic design traits, the latest furniture designs by Pianca, presented at the recent Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Progetti di design 06 and 07 catalogue features furniture designed by Pier Luigi Frighetto and Luciano Marson.

For Frighetto, this includes two new sofas: Nice and Tobias, a pouf and additions to the existing Delano collection.

“Aside from its design and spatial concept, the Nice sofa’s key style trait is grosgrain trim on its upholstered elements, a design feature that repeats in the pouf version of Mambo,” explains Pianca.

The curvaceous sofa is rounded-off by a semi-circular ottoman.

“The new elegant and sophisticated Tobias sofa, meanwhile, features statement co-ordinating vertical stitching. An evolution of the Delano collection, Delano Up adds new modules to the compositional options, including pouf and end elements.”

In addition, Frighetto also designed three new armchairs and a solid-wood coffee table, Scacco.

“Ella, Fedra and Regina are the armchairs designed by Frighetto. Ella is ultra-versatile and curvy, perfect for contract. Fedra is elegant and bold and Regina is more unconventional with its oversize volumes,” Pianca tells.

For Progetti di design 07, Luciano Marson created three luxury designs: the Corinto table, Enea table and a fully-customisable sideboard – an addition to the existing Dedalo collection.

“Entirely made of marble, the Corinto table features a uniquely sculptural design on the top and legs,” says Pianca.

“Stunningly beautiful and opulent, the table is perfect for luxury furnished spaces.

“On the other hand, texture is the key focus in the Enea table with top and shaped legs in solid wood.”

Championing natural materials and clean lines, Progetti di design 06 and 07, along with Pianca’s other collections, are locally available at Maldini.
