Spotlight: Meet Marianna Furman From Klooftique
Today we’re chatting all things design inspiration with the owner of Klooftique, Marianna Furman. May her design choices inspire your own decor choices this Women’s Month!
Colour inspiration… What are the latest colourways and palettes to expect in the Spring months ahead?
I’m loving my usual favourites – moody charcoals, cool serene neutrals but with pops of colour. Having just returned from summer in Italy, I have to say that my go-to for inspo are icons like Dolce and Gabbana (their fashion show in Siracusa was insane!) who have embraced shades of Fuschia pink (my absolute favourite at the moment smacks of Summer), lime green bordering on acid green, canary yellow and wild patterns of coral that are now on my new hot list. Not everyone’s cup of tea but something to be said about a reawakening of colour – extreme colour.
Interior and Fashion… We are seeing a merging of fashion into home design. From intricate textiles like silk and ruffles to industrial finishes like leather – tell us how the world of fashion has influenced your choices and top product recommendations this season…
Absolutely correct! I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the tail end of the incredible D and G show in Siracusa, Sicily where the knock-on was colour and incredible pattern. Colour everywhere in every store and on every corner. I guess with more and more designers branching out and extending their offering into homeware it’s a natural progression that the two areas work hand in hand.
I’ve always followed timeless fashion and this translates into our range of furniture – while we accent our ranges with quirky and playful designs in interesting fabric and or leather options we still remain true to our core. Simple, timeless and elegant pieces which like a Birkin Bag will age gracefully showing signs of wear and love…
Outdoor living is a trend in itself. Share with us your latest outdoor furniture, tips and trends?
Definitely using more of the good old staple: the stripe. Nothing beats this iconic design whether in muted shades of creams or black and white, this shouts summer. Furthermore, what I’m loving is the mixture of both organic and non-organic forms for poolside, patio and garden living. Drooling over Studio Lloyd’s pieces!
Klooftique is more than just a retail furniture space; they have an online furniture store as well. Here you can shop a bespoke range from the comfort of your couch.
