Maldini Presents The Latest From LAGO at Salone del Mobile
From the creative encounter between Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design of LAGO Spa, and designer Monica Armani, comes a collection of products that will be presented during the next Design Week at Salone del Mobile, linked by a fil-rouge inspired by the history of Venice. The latest LAGO furniture designs are available locally from Maldini.
A preview of the Altana sofa
On the occasion of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile, LAGO presents a preview of its collaboration with Monica Armani, one of the industry’s leading references. Inspired by the history of Venice, the collection will introduce brand new proposals for sofas, tables, chairs and armchairs that will give a new breath to the innovation and timeless quality of the company’s furnishings.
Venice has based its flourishing history on the encounter and dialogue between cultures, a centuries-old hub of trade in splendid objects of proverbial craftsmanship: a strong international vocation for encounters to be rediscovered today more than ever. Monica Armani, starting from these considerations, has created a new series of LAGO products designed to become protagonists of contemporary living all over the world and to be, just like the Serenissima, timeless.
Some pieces from the collection will be on display at the LAGO stand at the Salone del Mobile (HALL 24 E11-F06), while the complete collection will be presented at Casa LAGO during Design Week.
“For this edition of the Salone del Mobile, we decided to open ourselves up even more to the encounter and contamination of souls and cultures. Among the various designers with whom we are collaborating, we have chosen Monica Armani to give life to an entire collection inspired by Venice ,’ says Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design at LAGO Spa. ‘ We were inspired by the history of this city, for centuries a crossroads of peoples, people and visions of the world. With Monica Armani, we immediately found a lot of common ground in the way we understand design. This is how, in a natural way, products for all areas of the home were born, which we are happy to be able to present on the stand and in Casa LAGO during Design Week”.

ALTANA SOFA – Design Monica Armani
The ALTANA sofa offers a modular upholstered system with precise and elegant architecture inspired by altane, the typical terraces characteristic of Venetian roofs, protected places for meeting and relaxing. Characterised by taut, tapered lines and projecting volumes, the sofa is light and linear. It boasts visually soft cushions designed to offer optimal comfort thanks to the quality of the materials used. The detail of the floor supports, with an oval section, intersects at 45° with the upholstered and sloping profile of the bases. The seat cushions and backrests rest on the platforms in an interplay of volumes. New and a distinguishing feature of the product are the wooden legs. These are available in different ash shades as well as in new lacquered colours. The perfect accent to add a material touch and of matching fabrics and other complements from the LAGO world, generating interesting interior solutions.
