Leonardo Design: Tables by design.

Makers of fine furniture, the team at Leonardo Design is particularly mad about tables, especially the show-stopping ones that adorn their showroom.

From sexy side tables to cool coffee and console tables, there seems to be a table for every space, style and function. That said, finding a coherent design for a room with multiple tables can be tricky. To help, here the team shares how to perfectly style a room with several tables.

“The pairing of matching table designs always brings a unified look to any decor scheme, and with this in mind.”

“For instance, our Soho Coffee Table mirrors the lines of its sister Console perfectly. Both pieces are ideal for urban homes, with a sleek footprint that won’t eat up valuable space, yet provides ample usable surface areas thanks to the practical lower shelf.”

“As has often been proven In the interior design world, simplicity is sometimes the best option. This simplicity is the key to the Soho range’s appeal and adaptability. The mild steel frame and oak veneer shelves provide a minimal silhouette that is the ideal foil for a stunning tablescape or floral arrangement.”

Apart from choosing pieces from the same range or style, one can also create a coherent scheme by using different designs in the same material or colour. For instance, you can choose glass-top tables with different base designs in the same colour or material for a contemporary look or different wooden tables for a more classic scheme.  Or you could choose to go half and half and opt for matching side tables with a statement coffee table.

Just remember to keep the visual weight of the room in mind – as with everything else, balance is key.
