Blockhouse: How To Style A Festive Console Table

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. If you’re feeling the festive spirit, then it’s also time to get creative and decorate your home for the holidays! We’re here to help with some useful tips to help you style a festive console table. We also bring you some of our favourite options from Blockhouse.

Step 1 – Add colour

The festive season (especially in summer) is all about colour and vibrancy. We suggest you incorporate bright colours into your space, with art and vibrant arrangements that entice.  You can hang your artwork on the wall above your table – at eye level generally works best – or simply lean it against the wall.

Step 2 – Add a festive wreath

A festive wreath is an icon of the season. If you don’t already have one hanging at your front door, the next best thing is to incorporate a wreath above your console right at your home’s entrance. If you’re feeling extra creative, why not create a beautiful floral wreath or a recycled wreath from vintage book pages, ribbons, greenery and more! The ideas are endless! It’s also an easy way to add extra personality to your decor and spice up a store-bought faux wreath.

Step 3 – Bring in something fresh and appealing

It is summer after all! So why not incorporate fresh blooms into your home and make the most of your entryway this summer! Florals always bring a happy, festive feel into any room, and more so on a console table at your home’s entrance. Go for seasonal colours to tie into the Christmas theme!

Step 4 – Layer it

Introduce your favourite decor and create a layered look with different materials. Think festive books, vases, glassware, candles and more. Add varying heights to bring interest to your console and let it become a talking point in your home.

Shop the perfect console you can dress up or down as you see fit. This collection featured above is available from Blockhouse.
