Maldini: Lago Presents Home Office

Lago is proud to present Home Office, a new ultra-flexible collection created following community feedback, now available locally from Maldini.

During lockdown, design company LAGO has been talking to architects, interior designers, dealers and customers in a series of online workshops, bringing to life modular furniture for those working or studying from home.

LAGO has listened and talked to its community of architects, interior designers, dealers and customers during lockdown and the result is the new LAGO Home Office collection, designed to meet the needs of working or studying from home. The new catalogue brings together key design pieces, reinterpreting them in response to the new needs of contemporary living and working.

LAGO Home Office features iconic LAGO products developed with space-saving design features. They can be adapted to various spaces, from large open areas to small corners, in the living room through to the kitchen or hallway. Each design is versatile and is customisable and flexible when it comes to organising your living spaces. They offer all of the comfort and privacy of an office, while being comfy, free and empathetic like only your home knows how. With the individual at the heart of everything it designs, LAGO has created this furniture collection with the aim of improving your quality of life and work. The new products are easy to sanitise, thanks to glass tops and raised units, and can be adapted to any interiors, whether in dedicated rooms or for corner spaces in rooms that serve other purposes.

Whether for working from home or in the office, or just for relaxing and spending time together, LAGO Home Office brings you iconic products all in one collection. They have each been reworked to respond to new needs and requirements, and work seamlessly with you and your existing interiors. LAGO has always been attentive to details, and has made this new collection both functional and efficient with a range of accessories designed to help you use them in your everyday lives, be it for work, study or relaxation. The materials such as the warm Wildwood or multifaceted XGlass are also high quality.

The Wildwood Air tops and tables have gained built-in drawers, hidden from view by centuries-old oak grain that continues across the design. The Air bookcases come fitted with the Air desk and XGlass top which, as well as being versatile and customisable, make the surfaces more hygienic and easier to clean. The iconic Weightless bookcase, which is suspended from the ceiling for a show-stopping effect, features in the collection to create original work and study spaces at home. It divides the room and gives the space an ultra-light feel, thanks to the contrast between full and empty compartments.

Greater flexibility and interlocking elements allow you to rotate the free-standing bookcases and worktops, configuring the composition according to your space and needs. You can also move the unit from one environment to another. There is a range of interior accessories and fittings such as the LED lighting and electrical sockets, which allow you to personalise your furniture down to the very last centimetre. The 30 mm feature walls and sideboards now feature 36e8 Desk storage units which can be transformed into practical desk spaces, thanks to the flap-down door.

“The lockdown experience has taught us that we need to keep working on flexibility” – says Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design of LAGO SpA – Talking to our community, we realised this was going to be the central theme for the homes of the future. After setting out the context as we always do, we got straight to work to make sure we could bring this important new collection to market. I think the future is going to be a hybrid of physical and digital experiences, particularly in the post-Covid-19 phase. Working from home and e-learning will become increasingly central in our lives because they satisfy the need for flexibility”.
