Oggie Flooring: A Revamp in Pezula Golf Estate

Pezula Golf Estate is just 10 minutes from the centre of Knysna, located on the Eastern Head of the town. The views of the estate extend across the golf course to the Knysna Lagoon, the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean and, because of the unique topography of the site, every home has one or more of these immaculate views.

Oggie Flooring recently installed beautiful wooden flooring throughout a modern Pezula home, which was designed by Jo Pieters. The spectacular views of this home which received a recent revamp are now matched with spectacular interior detail.

The estate is built around the award-winning Pezula Championship Golf Course and is within walking distance of the golf club and Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa with its world-class facilities, including a state-of-the-art Spa & Gym and Zachary’s gourmet restaurant.

Furthermore, the estate has been designed with very low residential densities. On average just two residential units per hectare. When complete, only about a quarter of the site will thus have any constructed elements. The rolling topography means the estate furthermore, breaks up into natural pockets, which are visually separate from each other.

About the revamp

When clients first approached the design team that they had purchased a house in Pezula, the brief was to update the home and bring it into ‘now’ without very much structural work. The team from Jo Pieters Interiors thus ripped out the floors, dark stone columns, added a new kitchen, redesigned the Master Bathroom, updated lighting, fireplace and completely redecorated the house, complete with glorious Oggie Flooring.

The living room, kitchen, dining room, passage and study were, therefore, all installed with stunning Ona Rustic flooring from Oggie’s FSC European Oak. In a striking Greymist colour, it subsequently offsets the contemporary look and feel of the entire residence.
