Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles
Looking for high-quality collections of home and contract textiles as well as interior design inspirations? This August, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles gathers everything for you under one roof.
Preparations for the autumn edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles are in full swing. Exhibitor registration since December 2019 has been strong, showing the great significance of the international trade show, which will run in Shanghai from 24th to 26th August.
“We are planning for all of our trade fairs in the second half of the year to go ahead as scheduled following the disruptions from the COVID-19 virus to our events earlier in the year“, said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. In August, the trade show for textiles, interior design, architecture and hospitality will once again bring together the international crowd at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
“Although the virus outbreak will no doubt have an effect on the Chinese economy, there were strong economic figures in the Chinese home textiles industry last year, so we expect the economy and this sector to rebound strongly once the virus is under control,” Ms Wen continued. According to the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics, domestic sales of home textile products rose by almost 5% to 13,4 billion US Dollar in the first eight months of 2019. Estimates from statistics portal Statista show that sales alone for bed linen and bedspreads will reach 24 billion US Dollar in China this year compared with 16 billion US Dollar in 2015.
Renowned players such as Culp Inc. from the USA, D Décor Home Fabrics from India, Naturtex from Hungary and SIC Global Textiles from Poland are among the exhibitors to have confirmed their participation in Intertextiles Shanghai Home Textiles. Once again, the trade show will present the latest trends together with French forecasting agency Nellyrodi with branches in Paris, Tokyo and New York.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is Asia’s leading home textile event and a dynamic platform for industry professionals to source and to gain design inspirations through the conveniently structured product displays and the fringe programme. In 2019, 1,147 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, 35,390 visitors from 117 countries and regions joined the event.
