Weekend Reno is about giving tired, old cottages a breath of fresh air. In each episode, designer Michelle Mawby and her team have one weekend to transform a cottage. Starting the journey on the Costa Brava, Charlie Luxton traverses the Med, visiting a range of architectural masterpieces, ranging from surreal and abstract homes to a restored 1960’s villa. Along the way he visits the former home of Briget Bardot in the Cote d’ Azure, a home carved into the rocks above Mallorca and a property with a guest suite that appears to float above the ocean in Crete. The vast continent of Australia provides Gardening Australia with an endless variety of locations, climactic conditions and plant species. The series regularly features stories from remote and naturally beautiful regions including National Parks and Botanic Gardens. There are practical tips on organic gardening, recycling, pruning, container gardening and the like. Individual plants, trees and shrubs are ‘profiled’ so that even armchair gardeners can become expert botanists.
