Dictating the mood, tone and style for this soul-replenishing exhibition, Re-Inspire will set the stage for home inspiration, with customised style that inspires without overwhelming. An element of design For a sensory voyage of the area’s design experts, Decorex Durban welcomes the incredible new elements’ feature which incorporates Design and Textile Elements, Natural Elements and Lighting Elements. Envision local art and homeware from Harvey’s Trading Co., boutique woodworking from Kipekee Studio, high-end touches from Urban Create Design Interiors, custom designs with exclusive fabrics from Rainey Sykes, exceptional quality and style from Katie Allen Décor & Design, functional aesthetics from Designs by Day Interiors and cultural flair from Afro Luxury Designs.   In the spotlight Colour and life will reverberate across this year’s Decorex Durban Designer Spotlight feature as the inimitable Paige Waplington of Redesign Interiors crafts an enviable space which she describes as ‘reminiscent of a hotel room’. CEO of the African Institute of Interior Design, Waplington is accompanied by a wealth of industry knowledge which will work its way through her exclusive design featuring some bespoke furniture pieces. Tickle me pink Four high-end designers – MSQ Interior Design, Eykon, Dreamery and Jennifer Jones Interiors – will majestically transform a basic shed into a modern She Shed, working off the Man Cave trend of previous years. The designers will be joined by four local celebrities, including Ukhozi FM radio presenter, Vukile Mckenzie; stars in the popular film ‘Keeping up with the Kandasamy’s’ Jailoshini Naidoo and Mariam Bassa; as well as famed actress and television presenter, Kajal Bagwandeen. Each of the four feminine spaces will be re-purposed for hobbies and relaxation of the individual with a touch of the pink spectrum incorporated to reflect this year’s message: breast cancer awareness. Decorex has teamed up with NGO, PinkDrive, to raise funds and awareness for this meaningful initiative. The growing years Parents will relish a walk through the latest Rooms to Grow feature comprising four separate installations – baby room, toddler room, tween room and adolescent room. Chelle Mae’s Baby Lab, Clever Little Monkey, Duett Kids’ Furniture and Pushé Concept Line are the four age-influencing designers who will carefully craft these transitional spaces.
