Spotlight: Liezel Viljoen Is Larger Than Design
Interior designers usually share a flair and passion for all things creative and innovative in the world of interior decor. The same is true for Liezel Viljoen, founder of Larger than Design.
Her love for interior design started with her parents buying and renovating houses. Liezel then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts International Degree in Interior Design and launched Larger than Design, which has been in operation for a decade now.
Designing to her is an intuition – a natural flair if you will! Design is not only on paper, at Larger than Design, you actually see design come alive, and there is nothing more rewarding than that.
Keeping up with local and international trends has enabled Larger than Design to broaden their vision and explore a multitude of creative models that are developing in response to rapid organizational, social and technological changes.
Liezel’s passion lies in combining project management with interior design and she believes in building relationships and involving clients in the design process to add that unique finishing touch to a project.
Liezel says, ““You can never go wrong by incorporating the wonder of nature’s elements into your interior space. The creator of all things has made the earth such a beautiful place, why not use what has been given to us”.
Liezel’s own personal style is described as modern classic. She says, “Modern Classic can never go of style; it is an elegant combination of modern elements and classic bringing together the old and the new.”
She eagerly sets out on a journey together with her clients, and in this way, can often offer clients exactly what they want. Every client should feel as if it was their own touch, after all the client will enjoy their own space.
