Spotlight DDL Design & Decor Lab
Based in Kramerville, Johannesburg, DDL Design & Decor Lab specialises in turnkey interior-design solutions and custom furniture manufacturing.
“Our aim is to create inspiring interiors that are both elegant and functional,” says the company.
“We are inspired and guided by the plain truth that functional and enduring design develops when your client remains at the centre. Ensuring an interior that is a true reflection of the client’s style.”
To ensure that each client’s vision is brought to life to the fullest, DDL Design & Decor Lab undertakes a personalised design journey with every client, starting with a one-on-one consultation.
“During this first meeting, the client’s personal style and a full brief are identified. We will also discuss the budget for the project. This on-site meeting is key to the development of the design ambience and character,” explains the company.
This is followed by a concept and research phase during which they identify needs and conceptualise looks, which are then presented to the client.
“This allows the client to refine the works presented and add additional designs and items where needed,” the team explains.
To ensure each client’s vision is perfectly represented by the final design, DDL Design & Decor Lab also designs and manufactures many custom pieces to add a unique touch to every project.
“We manufacture a wide range of bespoke products, from upholstered furniture to bespoke wood–crafted products. For these pieces, we make use of traditional methods, working with multiple fabric houses, manufacturers and artisans to offer our clients the highest levels of function and style.”
