Roche Bobois: Pomelo Villas, Domaine d’Anbalaba, Mauritius

The island of Mauritius is calling… and today we take a peek inside the sublime Pomelo villas of Domaine d’Antblaba, situated on the hillside of Baie du Cap. Anbalaba offers a sumptuous and perfectly secured 15.4 hectare living environment, resolutely linked to the local life, with its commercial zone just near-by – small fishing village of Baie du Cap. Punctuated by spaces of relaxation, meeting and sharing, and animated by numerous shops, restaurants and services all around the marketplace, Anbalaba embodies the sweetness of Mauritian living in its purest expression.

Roche Bobois is excited for you to discover Pomelo villas, completed with some of the brand’s most iconic furniture pieces. The idea here was to blend the interior with the striking landscape and create something memorable and befitting of Mauritian life.  Therefore, most of the pieces used from Roche Bobois in this villa are eco-designed.

Located on the hills of Baie du Cap, on plots of land between 750 and 1,000 m², the villas offer vast spaces with a main room extended by a beautiful veranda with a view of the lagoon as far as the eye can see.

The Pomelo villas are well designed with a tropical roof and a large terrace facing the ocean and the pool.  Their contemporary architecture responds to the needs of life in the tropics: living inside-out. The private pool is nestled in a green setting and everything has been done to promote well-being, relaxation and a gentle way of life.

The space includes key items such as the Mah Jong ‘Jean Paul Gaultier’ outdoor set designed by Hans Hopfer for Roche Boboi 50 years ago and the mini Sequioa coffee table by Erwan Peron. Here, the outdoor space is given a fresh look with vibrant pops of colour overlooking the clear blue seas. The Mah Jong sofa is an iconic model of the Roche Bobois collections, and offers total freedom of form and function. The striking Sequoia tables, on the other hand, with its laser-cut tops, will certainly turn heads indoors and out, available in various sizes, whether it’s the cocktail table (80 cm L x 34 cm H x 75 cm D), the end table (50 cm L x 50 cm H x 50 cm D) or the pedestal table (80 cm L x 75 cm H x 75 cm D).

In the dining room, the new full models in organic wood from the Rio Ipanema collection add sophistication to this space. Designed by iconic architect Bruno Moinard, this dining set boasts an organic base, made entirely of solid wood. A beautiful, timeless addition to the villas.

Inside the most comfortable sofa choice, Preface by Roche Bobois, adds a cosy, livable atmosphere for relaxation. To round off the look the transparent transparent Cestello coffee table adds a finishing touch. With its deep seats and large tufted pillow cushions, the Preface sofa is incredibly inviting. Furthermoer, it offers a relaxed shape, extraordinary comfort, and generous size that make it a particularly consumer-friendly sofa.

Out off the 5 Pomelos villas built, only one is still available for sale for now!  What a unique opportunity to own your very own slice of paradise.!
