Plascon House Tour: A Kensington Townhouse

Industrial meets glamour in this 6-storey Kensington renovation where designers and architects joined forces to create a family home of distinction. Materials were carefully chosen from rough oak chevron flooring to handmade Moroccan tiles and powder coated steel doors. The result is chic, modern, with pops of colour that breathe life into this industrial space.

The living room is modern and alluring, with a fascinating ceiling chandelier that is simply captivating in this space. We love the use of florals to bring in colour and add to the accent shades used in this room. A contemporary circular coffee table maximises the space in front of the sofa system while a textured rug anchors the furniture in this open plan layout.   A bespoke black marble kitchen island is the heart of the home, flanked by grey oak cabinetry. A group of striking gold pendant lights add glam above the island, while fresh greenery adds a natural energy to this space. Metal framed glazing divides the hallway from the study, visually opening up the traditional townhouse layout. The flooring is a feature in this home and extends through the open plan spaces, creating a visual focal point for the eyes, as we are drawn downwards to admire the distinct chevron pattern in an oaky finish. Owners of this west London six-storey townhouse worked with designers to deliver a magical home, using mid-century pieces [predominately sourced from Milan] and a dark colour scheme with the casual splash of brightness too. Sultry shades of grey dominate in the bedroom, creating a cosy space with a touch of sophistication. The bathroom is bright and invigorating in opposing shades of blue and yellow that lends the room an Art-Deco ambiance in its brightness and a brave pairing of bold hues. Contact: Plascon
