Plascon House Tour: Dark Tones In The City of Light
Welcome to Paris, the City of Light, where today’s moody Parisian apartment brings with it a mysterious blend of dark shades and luxe finishes. Bold colour and pattern blend together with a mix of traditional and modern furniture in this wonderfully eclectic abode.
The sitting room maximises the tall ceilings with beautifully intricate black panelling with golden accents. A striking blue sofa makes a bold statement here and the colours are complemented by the gorgeous patterns found in the area rug underfoot.
The architecture feels traditional with a real sense of classic refinement here. Panelled walls, a feature fireplace and ornate ceilings add to the timeless look. However, modern furniture, pops of bright colour and pattern merge to create a wonderful new style of transitional design. Bright yellow drapes are a showstopper here and those two gorgeous occasional seats are simply breathtaking in a modern geometrical design.
The blue bedroom is heavenly – a much more peaceful space in comparison with the business of the living spaces. Patterened ceilings still bring in an element of texture and surprise and how delightful that they have painted it in the same shade as the walls, thereby creating a far more harmonious look in this space. A classic chair in floral print, together with a curved traditional headboard also adds a sense of old-world charm to this interior.
This colour palette extends into the bathroom but here, the use of charcoal tiles are a wonderful addition. Hints of silver, mirror and glass bring a wonderful reflective quality to this space and we love the lighter complementary shade used on the wall above the backsplash. Overall – a stylish and perfectly styled space!
