Nina Sierra Rubia Appointed Principal at ARRCC: 21 Years of Global Design Excellence
Interior design, at its most refined, is an act of translation, of listening deeply, distilling meaning, and shaping spaces that feel both personal and enduring. It is within this context that Nina Sierra Rubia steps into her new role as Principal at ARRCC, bringing with her 21 years of experience and a decade of influence within the studio.
Since joining ARRCC in 2015, Nina has helped shape a global portfolio spanning six continents. Her work reflects a balance of considered design, solutions-driven thinking, and an inimitable stylistic clarity – qualities that have contributed to her appointment alongside Mark Rielly, Michele Rhoda and Jon Case as the studio’s fourth Principal.
Under Rielly’s mentorship, Nina has contributed to award-winning projects featured in the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, Elle Decor and Scape100. In parallel, she has played a key role in refining ARRCC’s internal design systems, frameworks that have supported the studio’s international growth and contributed to its recognition as Best Interior Design Firm at the Architizer A+ Awards.
Her approach begins with two anchors: place and person. Understanding cultural context is as critical as interpreting a client’s lived experience and aspirations. Recent projects have taken her to Saudi Arabia, Kenya, the United States and Italy, where in-person workshops and site visits form the foundation of trust and creative exchange.
Within this framework, Nina leads teams in crafting bespoke furniture, curating international art collections, and sourcing custom fabrics and lighting – interiors that resonate with architectural intent while remaining deeply human.
“I wake up thankful that I get to live my passion every day,” she reflects. As ARRCC enters its next chapter of global engagement, Nina’s leadership signals a continued commitment to interiors that are soulful, precise and unmistakably personal
