Jacket Interiors Interprets The Old In A New Way
Jacket Interiors has interpreted the old in a new way in this bold heritage home. Embracing the season’s must-have colour palette including welcoming yellow and grey, we can see that this home is packed with personality and a relaxed ambience.
The project
The project included repurposing old floorboards, removing some unnecessary walls, and adding some panelling and beading on walls which all added to the layering of this heritage house.
The team aimed to rework existing furniture and used plain colours, carefully breaking it up with Ikats and graphic prints, to create a lifestyle instead of just a decorated home.
A trendy colour palette
Hints of yellow and grey are perfectly on-trend in this beautiful residence. As per the chosen Pantone colours of the year for 2021, ‘Ultimate Grey’ and ‘Illuminating Yellow’ are two of the must-have colours of the season and we’re thrilled to see it presented so well within this home.
Ultimate Grey is a solid, practical tone while Illuminating is a bright and cheerful shade of yellow, and together, these two independent colours offer a message of hope, warmth and optimism.
“As people look for ways to fortify themselves with energy, clarity, and hope to overcome the continuing uncertainty, spirited and emboldening shades satisfy our quest for vitality. PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow sparkling with vivacity, a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power. PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Grey is emblematic of solid and dependable elements which are everlasting and provide a firm foundation. The colours of pebbles on the beach and natural elements whose weathered appearance highlights an ability to stand the test of time, Ultimate Grey quietly assures, encouraging feelings of composure, steadiness and resilience.” – Pantone
Hints of gold offer a touch of sophisticated glamour in the bedrooms. Pared-back with neutral tones throughout, the space feels relaxed and inviting. Carefully curated soft furnishings complete the space.
At Jacket Interiors, the team aims to recognise the unique character of each home or commercial space and develop it into a complimentary interior aesthetic, to elevate your space to the next level.
