Villa Fernblick: A Synthesis of Swiss Serenity and Asian Harmony by Ina Rinderknecht
Tucked away in a serene landscape, Villa Fernblick is an architectural masterpiece that seamlessly blends the tranquility of Swiss design with the harmony of Asian aesthetics. Conceived by visionary architect Ina Rinderknecht, this stunning villa is a testament to the beauty of cultural fusion, located in Teufen, Switzerland.
Villa Fernblick’s Swiss heritage is evident in its sleek lines, minimalist approach, and emphasis on functionality. The use of natural materials such as wood and stone creates a sense of warmth and cosiness, reminiscent of traditional Swiss chalets.
In perfect harmony with its Swiss roots, the villa incorporates subtle Asian elements, reflecting the principles of balance and equilibrium. The careful placement of water features, lush greenery, and carefully selected Asian-inspired decor creates a sense of calm and serenity.
A Synthesis of Styles
Villa Fernblick’s true magic lies in its effortless blending of styles. Rinderknecht’s masterful design creates a unique and captivating atmosphere perfect for those seeking a tranquil retreat.
Designed for a family that entertains frequently, the kitchen is a striking focal point with a magnificent travertine marble island. This space effortlessly extends to the airy yet comfortable living and dining areas, anchored by a large Rose Li Gingko chandelier. Adjacent to the billiard room, these areas boast expansive terraces that provide south-facing views of the breathtaking surrounding landscape.
Ina Rinderknecht collaborated with Schotten & Hansen to develop a bespoke wood colour that mirrors travertine. This is subsequently used throughout the design to enhance the materiality and warmth. The upper level serves as a tranquil sanctuary. Furthermore, it features spacious bedrooms with intricate, origami-inspired wooden ceilings that offer a unique aesthetic, combining artistry and comfort.
The spa area, designed with holistic health and mindfulness in mind, features a deep emerald-green stoen pool overlooking the serene village of Tefen. This space exudes minimalistic elegance and colour symmetry, offering a state-of-the-art retreat for relaxation and wellness.
Villa Fernblick exemplifies serene living, where every moment – from entertaining to relaxation – is seamlessly enhanced through the thoughtful design of Ina Rinderknecht.
