Tonic Design: iconic furniture
Balancing form and function, Tonic Design’s bold yet minimalist bedside tables are what sweet dreams are made of.
Here are our top picks from the award-winning design studio:
Cannes Pedestal
Finely detailed and finished in custom high gloss colours, the Cannes Pedestal adds a dose of Deco-inspired drama to bedroom interiors. The Cannes Pedestal pairs beautifully with the Nova Bed in natural oak and a good paperback novel.
Paris Pedestal
Equal parts seductive and sensible, the Paris pedestal turns bedside storage into an affair to remember. This spacious option is available in oak and American walnut veneer for a timeless touch.
Michael Pedestal
A decidedly handsome bedside table available in oil-finished oak or satin-lacquered American walnut veneer, the Michael Pedestal features one or two drawers with recessed grip handles and sufficient space to keep all your bedside bric-à-brac at bay. Add a Laguna Table Lamp from Artemide to complete the look.
Marsi Pedestal
Give your bedroom an au naturel upgrade with the Marsi Pedestal. A chic marble inlay top and powder-coated mild-steel base make the Marsi Pedestal an elegant and understated choice.
A stalwart of South African design, Tonic Design is well-known for its unorthodox use of materials, its emphasis on technical precision and a return to traditional techniques and craftsmanship that makes their work contemporary, collectable future classics.
With showrooms in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the interior-architectural studio specialises in the design of iconic furniture and interiors that are undeniably current, enduringly classic and instantly liveable.
