Discover The Superyacht SD96
Launched at last year’s edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival by the famous Italian shipbuilding Sanlorenzo, the superyacht SD96 embraces the company’s heritage and values. This modern yacht is a perfect result of a collaboration between recognized top architects and designers: Patricia Urquiola was chosen to create and build all the contemporary interior design, giving a marvellous feminine touch in each unique detail.
As one of the top interior designers in the world, Patricia Urquiola’s unique design is clean and sophisticated. Her work is widely known to be playful and poetic, yet pragmatic and functional, a creative combination that is the magic behind her work. Inside any space created by Patricia Urquiola, you can live and feel a unique experience: this exquisite luxury yacht is a great example of that!
According to Massimo Perotti, Chairman, and CEO of Sanlorenzo: “ I chose Patricia Urquiola because I wanted to add a more feminine touch to the interiors in Sanlorenzo yachts, something which until now had been foreign to the nautical world, and today she is the most sought-after woman in global design thanks to her ability to combine beauty and comfort.”
The 28-meter-long entry level model yacht, which remains faithful to Sanlorenzo’s heritage while embracing new ideas, is the result of tireless research and attention to the importance of liveability on board.
The superyacht SD96 presents the ultimate concept of converting spaces to enrich the experience of those who reside inside the sailing boat. Inside this modern interior design, it is possible to find a touch of irony and a delicate sensitivity increased by the craftsmanship creative works. The SD96 features a flowing space in which the distinctive style of Patricia Urquiola unfolds, combining a minimalist approach with a blend of carefully selected materials.
“Our starting point for this collaboration with Sanlorenzo was doubtlessly the sea, a great source of inspiration for the whole development of the concept and therefore the interior of the yacht,’ says Urquiola. ‘The materials, shapes and colours evoke the marine world, creating a flowing and elegant space full of natural colours.”
