Step Inside A Stylish Fresnaye Home By Apax Design
Floating above the city skyline, at the foot of Lion’s head, this penthouse interior by Apax Interior Architecture & Design has unlocked volumes of space to create pockets of experiences and nostalgia.
Blissful views of the ocean lures us closer, creating a serene sense of indoor outdoor living. In fact, the entire living space boasts immaculate views, as if you were afloat right on the ocean itself. On the inside, a stylish living space opens up to a magical infinity pool. Just imagine spending your days on the water’s edge and watching the cargo ships come in!
A mix of finishes and textures set the trend in the interior, with wood, concrete, steel and more that create a textural feast for the senses. A neutral palette includes tones of grey, charcoal and wooden accents. Here, industrial finishes give the living spaces a contemporary edge while concrete floors and finishes add to the urban yet modern look of this striking home.
The dining table takes centre stage in the main living space of this penthouse, overlooking the sea. Wood, glass, leather and steel add to the textural aesthetic of this space – the ideal spot to enjoy a meal and the views.
The open plan kitchen boasts a streamlined and sophisticated look with custom white glossy cabinetry juxtaposed against the darker tones and industrial-styled finishes of the living space. It is a beautiful contrast and adds to the wonderfully refreshing character of this space.
Features include classical furniture pieces juxtaposed with steel and concrete designs, robust fixtures and simplistic comfort. Hints of colour and pattern feature throughout this home, with striped rugs, a bold aquamarine headboard, and pops of colourful artworks that add interest in every space. Hints of fresh greenery in pots further elevate each room, adding a sense of fresh appeal to the different spaces.
Since 2013, Apax Design has been shaping spaces in a portfolio of hospitality and entertainment, retail & commercial design projects, as well as residential designs such as this serene Fresnaye penthouse.
