Plascon House Tour: For the Love of Colour
This gorgeously vibrant home is a lesson in how to decorate with colour without it overwhelming a space. We love the intricate details in every room, with an exquisite mix of furniture and finishings that evoke a real sense of creativity and style.
A large open living room is decked in white yet cleverly infused with colour that adds life and energy to this innovative room. We love the various collections of coloured glass and vases – perfectly poised in strategic places around the room to emphasise a sense of energy and a link to the ocean. The bottles are beautifully reminiscent of the shades of the ocean and the seaside theme is evidently carried through – to a beautiful coral scatter cushion and subtle hints of blue, green and white throughout this room. A stunning landscaped exterior stares at us from large open windows. It’s, therefore, no wonder that the owners have chosen not to add any visible window treatments to this area of the home, to further draw us into the wonderful outdoor scenery that is clearly evident on the outside of the home. A bold display of print, a feature wall of tiles brings exquisite colour and elements of design into the below room. A stunning display of white porcelain and kitchenware takes centre stage here on glass shelves. We also love how the colour palette is echoed through the innovative use of a bold chandelier above the dining table. The tiled wall may have felt overpowering, but the room has cleverly been designed to balance these bold prints with a neutral backdrop of white. The bedroom too is infused with a creative spirit – where bold colours work together to create a vibrant flow in this unique space. Pops of blue and red are echoed throughout the soft furnishings here bringing a sense of harmony and beauty into this large master suite. A beautiful crystal chandelier above the bed completes the look. Contact: Plascon Via
