Plascon House Tour: Loft House
This luxe Budapest loft house is trendy and modern – with a striking industrial open-plan structure that is both intriguing and well put together.
In fascinating shades of grey and pink, the large living room is beautifully calm and sophisticated. Reminiscent of the building’s past life, this home still contains many of the industrial elements of its former glory, including steel-framed windows and structural elements.
A bold brown sofa is on trend and adds a sense of warmth to this modern industrial living room. Plush curtains frame the couch and seating area, with gorgeous pink conical chairs that serve as stylish seating solutions in this space. A neutral area rug works wonderfully to ground the furniture in this oversized room and a modern globe-like light fitting adds interest here. The colourways extend through to the stairway in shades of grey. Here a fascinating circular display on the wall creates a play on light and space – and also works as a creative design element in this trendy space. The steel balustrade, together with the shadow display from the light source, further creates a playful geometrical design that gives this space an edgy, modern and playful ambiance. We love the streamlined shape of the rooms, emphasised by the linear window designs and bold charcoal tones used throughout. A vintage choice of furniture and decor accents add to the eclectic feel of the space, with a fun mix of lighting and books that become a feature on a rustic yet industrial-style side cabinet. The vintage vibe continues to other areas around the home. A bold blue and black damask-style print makes a striking statement. Against a backdrop of dirty pink, the colours are surprisingly calming in the bathroom. An elaborate chandelier in shades of gold and white add to the extravagance and style of this innovative home. And who can miss the fascinating flooring with vintage print that picks up on both shades of pink and blue. The overall feel is that the bathroom is balanced, despite the unconventional use of colour and vintage flair. Contact: Plascon Photography: B. Brancato via Bo Bedre via
