Head On Design gift ideas for kids this festive season
The festive season is nearly upon us and kids’ expectations of our gift giving abilities is high. The trick is to find something unique that will be loved and appreciated for many years to come
Joanna Orr of Head On Design couldn’t resist adding bright, colourful hearts to her already cute unicorn heads. Great for girls’ bedrooms and fun to build; girls will squeak with delight when they open their gift.
If you’re looking for something unique for boys, there’s a majestic dragon that breathes a world of imagination and mythical fantasy into any kid’s space! Adding the final touch of fiery red flames to its nostrils, makes this a great DIY project.
The unicorn and dragon heads come in 2 sizes, namely mini and medium and are made from recycled board or paperboard. Each head comes with easy-to-follow picture instructions on how to assemble and hang, no glue is required. It’s unlikely that confident kids will need supervision while building it, but kids younger than 8 may need a teeny bit of help.
Other great décor ideas for kids include crocodile and giraffe bookshelves, simple wall-mounted birch ply shelves that will add a unique element to a child’s room.
Joanna is a big lover of nature and the African bush, having spent part of her childhood in Zambia. She firmly believes we need to be kind to nature and make use of sustainable or recycled materials such as birch ply or recycled board. Over the years she has also donated to wildlife conservation to help save our beloved beasts from poaching.
All products are lovingly made in Cape Town, by Capetonians.
