Carrol Boyes puts pen to purpose this Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a limited-edition Pink Legacy Pen created in partnership with CANSA.

Every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month renews an important conversation around awareness, prevention and early detection. For Carrol Boyes, it is a conversation rooted not only in advocacy, but in a belief that design can carry meaning.

This year, the design house is putting pen to purpose.

In partnership with CANSA’s Purchase with Purpose campaign, Carrol Boyes has introduced a limited-edition Pink Legacy Pen for Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a considered expression of resilience, femininity and the enduring power of a message shared.

Created as a special edition of the Carrol Boyes Legacy Collection, the Pink Legacy Pen is available in ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pen formats. Each is distinguished by a pink body and the brand’s signature sculptural ‘Woman’ motif, with the female figure emerging gracefully to form the clip in a gold finish.

It is an unmistakably Carrol Boyes detail.

Throughout Carrol’s work, the female form has occupied a space beyond ornament. Here, she becomes a symbol of resilience, elegance and enduring femininity — fitting for an object created to carry words that deserve to be written, shared and remembered.

A Legacy of Awareness

The partnership with CANSA extends beyond the limited-edition pen. On 21 October, CANSA will host its annual High Tea, an occasion honouring life, survivorship and caregiving, with Carrol Boyes partnering with and sponsoring the event.

The collaboration continues a cause that was deeply meaningful to Carrol Boyes herself.

An advocate for breast cancer awareness, Carrol understood that awareness is strengthened through human connection — through conversations between the people closest to us and the willingness to educate, encourage and support one another.

“Woman to woman, sister to sister, mother to daughter, families, friends and colleagues help educate and raise awareness.”

It is a sentiment that feels particularly resonant in October, but its meaning extends well beyond a single month.

The Art of Strength

Carrol’s commitment to the cause also lives on through her artwork.

Her sketch Strength celebrates resilience through the expressive female form. A graceful figure enveloped in pink, the work captures a sense of feminine confidence and inner strength — qualities that have long been woven through the visual language of Carrol Boyes.

Today, the Strength Collection carries that symbolism forward, serving both as a meaningful gift and as a reminder of the resilience represented by the women at the heart of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

There is a natural connection between the artwork and the Pink Legacy Pen. Both transform the female figure into something symbolic; both use design to hold an idea larger than the object itself.

And perhaps that is what makes this collaboration particularly fitting.

A pen is, after all, an instrument for giving thoughts permanence. For writing a name, sharing a story, offering encouragement or beginning a conversation.

Through its partnership with CANSA, Carrol Boyes honours a message Carrol herself championed: awareness begins when we choose to speak, share and support one another.
