Casa LV: handblown glassware.
Putting a contemporary twist on the age-old art of glass-blowing, Cape Town-based Casa LV is well-known for its beautiful handblown glassware
A collaborative effort between two friends, Lynne and Vilma, Casa LV is committed to crafting artisanal pieces brimming with creativity, craftsmanship and colour. From matte hues to pastel shades and pops of bright colour, Casa LV’s range of coloured glassware is extensive.
Short and squat or tall and slim, each glass piece is meticulously crafted here, reflecting a blend of creativity and tradition that educates customers about and celebrates the remarkable design discipline.
“Every piece is expertly hand-crafted, and no two are the same. Each is a work of entirely bespoke art. The colour of the glass varies according to the shape of its design, and our pieces are solid and heavy, adding another layer of luxury and permanence to their form,” says the duo.
Some of their most striking designs include:
Gorgeous in matte black, The Emily vase is a luxe choice, adding instant sophistication to a setting.
Available in a short (13cm) or tall (20cm) option, The Julia vase is fashioned on a milk jug, making it a versatile piece for the home.
One of the prettiest vases in the range, The Alice is gorgeous in pink and available in two sizes. The vase has a beautiful wavy lip that gives an extra dimension when adding flowers.
An absolute stunner, The Lara is a sold square vase in a luxe molten chocolate hue.
The Luna
Short and squat, The Luna makes the perfect addition to a kitchen countertop, doubling up as a vase, potplant holder and vessel for coffee pods and other smalls.
