Plascon House Tour: A Colourful Barcelona Home

The original architectural elements of this Barcelona home have been lovingly restored and a contemporary interior design brings new life into this residence. All the furniture and details have been carefully selected to add style and a designer look to every space.

The interior of this home is warm and inviting – owners wanted to create a stylish family retreat they could enjoy with their children and friends. The colour palette was therefore chosen to infuse warmth and energy into the open plan living spaces. Materials in play bring a luminous quality to each room – hints of copper, marble and glass are strategically used throughout.

In the living room, a vintage fireplace takes pride of place, adding richness and a sense of heritage to this abode. A gorgeous mix of artwork, mirrors, bespoke lighting and furnishings work together in the creation of a stylish, comfortable living space. And we absolutely love the calming influence of that striking colour on the walls!

In the dining area, a focal black wall and shelf ooze drama and perfection! We love the use of globe-like pendant lights above the table. Grouped together, the lighting becomes a statement piece in this space. The room feels large and contemporary and also boasts ample lighting from surrounding windows.

The house has a master bedroom and two additional guest bedrooms decked out in unique styles with a range of interesting wall coverings. Wallpaper in each room adds colour and texture to the spaces. We love the mix of colours and how these are translated into the decor accessories of each room.

The aim was to create distinct sleeping areas using modern colours and furnishings to bring refinement and style to these areas. Texture is key here as it lends the bedroom a sense of warmth and comfort – crucial components to creating a beautifully intimate bedroom space.
