Plascon House Tour: Small With A Big Impact

Small homes can still pack a punch with a professional designer look and careful planning of space. Today’s tiny home comes alive in bold colours and prints. We love the bright cheerful ambience it evokes.

In the living space, colour is the order of the day. Bolder is better and we love the beautiful mix of bright tones and vibrant prints, from the area rug to the bright selection of scatters and art on the walls.

Clever storage solutions are also key in a smaller space – instead of overloading a small home with clutter, clever storage helps to maintain order.

The kitchen and breakfast nook are ideal, with added storage that serves as multi-functional seating around a table. Top and bottom cabinets further maximise the space in the kitchen and we love the pops of colour that add to this space, from aqua pots on the stove to the pastel mix of scatters. These pair well with the timber tones of the flooring and oak cabinets.

The bedroom too is a celebration of bold colour and design elements. The walls boast a circular patterned paper in a neutral shade. Although subtle, it underpins the geometric design that seems to flow throughout this space. A gorgeous bold headboard adds to the drama and geometry of this room and we love the playful selection of design elements complete with a flower-shaped rug in bright shades of orange and pastel blue.

Keeping things bright and light-filled helps to make the space feel bigger than it actually is. A double bed fits snuggly in this space but thanks to open windows and exterior doors, it does not feel crammed in. An ensuite bathroom further enhances the look pops of bold colour extend into this space.

Built-in bedroom cabinets are the perfect storage solution in a small bedroom. Custom-built to fit around the bed, it makes the most of available wall space without compromising on the overall sleek look of this room. A bold leaf wallpaper design is very much on trend in this room and we love the bright yellow used to add freshness in this space.
