Plascon House Tour: Peach Living

Today’s beautifully contemporary home is fresh with a wonderful colour palette of peachy tones, beige, earthy neutrals and pops of blue in unexpected places.

It has a soft, holiday-home vibe to it. Large open spaces offer a bright, light and airy interior, styled with rustic elements and modern touches including a hanging basket chair in the living room for chic relaxation. We also love the unconventional pairing of sofas here with soft peachy two-seater juxtaposed against a darker shade of blue. And yet, the set seems to work in this space and adds to the soft and comfortable surrounds.

Black framed windows pop against an earthy white interior in the dining area. The colour palette from the living room extends into this delicate space and we love the use of mixed materials – including woven seating that adds to the ambience here. A solid white table becomes a feature here, and pops against the wooden floors. The addition of fresh foiliage lifts the room and adds some colour and vibrancy.

A little eating nook on the right sets a contemporary tone. Modern art in complementary shades adds interest and colour to this cosy nook. Built-in seating, in peach of course, is fresh and modern, installed on a mounted rod. The stripes of the seat seem to flow with the vertical lines of the table and we love the overall look which is one of modern sophistication and poise.

The bathroom is simply refreshing with an oversized round mirror that anchors the entire room. We love the use of subway tiles with white grout which extends all the way around the room and creates a clean and streamlined palette of white. Beautiful custom wooden cabinetry adds to the Scandi atmosphere of this home. Bronze tapware brings a little luxury feel to this special space.

The bedroom, in contrast to the entire home, comes to life in shades of dark blue. A tranquil, dark and calming space for rest and relaxation. The colour extends up to the ceiling and creates the illusion of continued space and extra tall ceilings – a clever designer’s trick! We love the layered look with blue upon blue which seems to work wonderfully in this intimate space.
