Plascon House Tour: A Dreamy Monochrome Residence
As winter firmly sets in, we’re dreaming about cosy interiors boasting comfy throws, layered rugs and a beautiful fireplace. Today’s house tour does not disappoint as it takes us into a dreamy monochrome abode that is oh so inviting and perfect for the winter months ahead.
A feature fireplace draws us into the living room. Here white, grey and charcoal shades create a serene ambience, paired with vintage wooden furniture and a mix of textures and fabrics for added comfort. A wire basket with firewood stands ready and we can just imagine curling up in this beautifully styled home to enjoy the comfort of a glistening fire.
The vintage vibe continues into the open plan kitchen and dining area where a wooden table is centred between two large windows on either end of the room. A mix of neutral rugs add to the comfort factor of this space and we love the rustic nature of the materials used in this space. Gorgeous oversized light pendants are also a feature in this space – bringing a touch of industrial chic style to this abode.
Open shelving in the kitchen helps to set the tone of this rustic kitchen. Concrete counters, a mix of wood and glass elements, together with a bold metallic light fitting complete this space.
Things are kept low-key and simple in the bedroom. Here owners are going for a more minimalist ambience with a touch of rustic flair as evident in the choice of furniture with a distressed chest of drawers and a dried branch cleverly converted into a jewellery stand. All-white bed linen is classic here and we love that the space is bright and inviting, thanks to an overflow of light from the surrounding windows. Layered rugs, basketware and a makeshift hook-closet reinforce the minimalist approach to this room.
