Plascon House Tour: Contemporary Loft Design
Sensational loft living has always been a favourite trend. We love the space created by adding a second level onto a stylish abode. In today’s house tour, we enter the contemporary interior of a stylish Swedish loft that was once a piano factory.
Stunning high ceilings and large windows frame this designer loft. We love the large volumes of the old industrial building, the mezzanine and the fact that designers have incorporated an additional bedroom for added space.
The living room is a mix of old and new; with modern grey sofa and vintage finds including a repurposed wooden filing cabinet as added storage in this space. Open shelving boasting glassware, as well as a curved black coffee table styled with decorative accents, bring a touch of glam to this contemporary space. The shades of white, grey, black and wooden accents add to the Scandi vibe created in this stunning loft design.
The interior is beautifully crisp and modern, mixing tiles, glass, cabinetry and more into a wonderfully cosy and inviting space, filled with light thanks to the expanse of windows that becomes a central feature in this open plan space.
The living area is beautifully simplistic and Nordic in design. In shades of white and grey, natural light pours indoors and a playful mix of textures and fabrics adds to the comfort level of this home. A flatscreen TV at eye-level is a wonderful addition here – and does not detract from the overall designer feel of this space.
High ceilings and architectural details in the bedroom add to the overall appeal of this modern master bedroom. The addition of an exterior patio is a welcome addition to this space and extends the indoor living outside. The added touch of greenery indoors also adds a fresh flair to this Scandinavian design.
