Let’s Get The Party Started with Annie Sloan

It’s the season of endless celebrations and what better way to get the party started at home than with these three metallic marvels to wow you – from Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! December is candlelight, plush fabrics, and little extra touches – be that bacon in the brussel sprouts, sequins on party dresses, or cinnamon and spice over everything!

First up, this copper and turquoise visual feast courtesy of Rebecca at Raw Furniture. An indulgent, seductive partnership between oceanic blue-greens and warm, opulent Copper Leaf. Rebecca deployed a smorgasboard of cool-toned Chalk Paint® colours from Provence, Duck Egg Blue, Oxford Navy, and Florence right through to Graphite. Rebecca sealed with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax, aged with Dark Chalk Paint® Wax, and then layered Loose Copper Leaf over the Gold Size to give that delicately tattered effect. Copper and Greens suggest romantic Verdigris, and is a more modern pairing than, for example, traditional Navy and Gold.

From complementary warm metallics beautifully contrasted against vibrant blue tones to a mellifluous neutral fusing of Gold Loose Leaf and Chalk Paint® in French Linen. This piece fits beautifully with the grandeur of the panelled room and makes a dazzling impact without compromising elegance. Masterfully done by Suffolk Parlour! For a similar statement you’ll need Chalk Paint® in French Linen, Clear Chalk Paint® Wax, Dark Chalk Paint® Wax, Gold Loose Leaf and Gold Size.

From two rustic pieces to a much more modern interpretation of gilded glamour. Second Chances By Misty used Chalk Paint® in Napoleonic Blue to create an intense, vivacious base for her Gold Leaf. We love the combination of two powerhouse colours together, it’s very Hollywood glamorous and it’s very beautiful. Can you IMAGINE having this in your home!
