Plascon House Tour: French Living

Shabby chic and in an authentic French style, this gorgeous home is located in a picturesque village in the south of France. It is here in Neffies, in the middle of the French countryside that a Swedish couple created this intimate and stylish guest house.

Filled with vintage wares from the local flea markets, this residence is beautifully styled with an eclectic mix of furnishings and interesting decor that ooze European charm. The living room is painted in a dark shade of greige – creating a soft, intimate interior that we love. Filled with knick-knacks and various interesting displays of decor, this room is beautiful and instead of feeling cluttered and overwhelmed, this space is vibrant, rich and seems to shine in true French flair.

The kitchen is far more airy and bright – with modern lighting and country-style cabinetry that extends across this space. Checkered tiles on the floors and walls add richness and interest in this space. A display of copper pots and a mix of kitchen utensils create the shabby chic French style that sets this home apart.

The entryway is beautiful and vintage, evoking a sense of old-world charm with patterned flooring and ornate painted stairwell walls. We love the intricate detailing of the painted florals on the walls – adding a soft, romantic vibe to this space.

And just when we thought the interior was divine on its own, the exterior entertainment areas offer interest and charm with an outdoor kitchen and a mix of vintage finds including potted plants, wire baskets and kitchenware.

In the bedroom, an antique metal poster-bed offers a richness and vintage ambience to this space. Natural linens offset against an off-white interior is idyllic and typically French and we love the French-styled doors that lead us out onto a picturesque balcony.
