Plascon House Tour: The Surfrider Boutique Hotel
A beautiful seaside retreat, the Surfrider Boutique Hotel is located on the iconic Pacific Coast Highway in California. It is inspired by the picturesque Malibu landscape and rich heritage of California surf culture.
Personifying Malibu’s historic beach-town community, the complete redesign of the original 1950s-era motel has transformed The Surfrider into a contemporary boutique hotel with 20 rooms that gives guests an unparalleled and elevated visit to Malibu. The Surfrider – the new standard of relaxed coastal living.
A celebration of simplicity, the hotel is decked out in neutrals – with natural materials and textures that pervade the space. We love the gorgeous oversized rattan light pendants that bring texture and style to the living spaces. The bedrooms are equally stylish with magnificent seaside views.
This upstairs corner room has the best vantage point of the renowned First Point in all of the hotel from both the private balcony complete with outdoor dining furniture and also from the oversized panoramic window (from bed, all you can see is sky, Pacific ocean, surfers and The Malibu Pier!). The 250-square-foot room features a teak queen sized bed fitted with the finest Bellino linens, spa rain shower, Grown Alchemist amenities, Bose speakers, Parachute robes and a mini bar stocked with local California treats.
It really is bliss at the coast. Many of the rooms offer immaculate views and some even have private outdoor terraces with views of the Pacific Ocean and outdoor dining furniture. The Roof Deck at the Surfrider is also the spot to take it all in and available exclusively to guests only. Featuring a food and beverage program where the food and drinks are California to its core, and all locally sourced, sustainable and organic.
