A Damson Purple Rodmell Bureau

Someone who’s already familiar with the surprisingly transformative impact of some artfully applied Dark Chalk Paint® Wax is Mr Thomas Klotz of Germany🇩🇪! Thomas used Chalk Paint® in damson purple Rodmell on this rather lovely-legged bureau; then added both earthy richness and a sense of antiquity using Dark Chalk Paint® Wax. Thomas especially focused along the crevices and edges of the bureau for extra authenticity. He then applied Clear Chalk Paint® Wax to ensure the entirety of the piece was protected, but also to wipe back the Dark Wax anywhere he’d been too heavy handed. A Showstopping Plum Cabinet

The body of this piece is painted with showstopping plum aplomb (aplumb?) by Christina of The Reclaimed Heirloom of Canada. The cabinet top was painted using leftover Chalk Paint® in Rodmell, French Linen and Graphite. Both Clear and Dark Wax were then applied to add depth, age and protect. You’ll notice that theme again and again; Dark Chalk Paint® Wax not only enriches and gives depth to your favourite Chalk Paint® colours but it’s a necessity if distressed, rustic, or industrial looks are your style. It gives an authentic aged look that is so easy to achieve.
