Annie Sloan: 3 Chalk Paint Projects We’re Totally Into

We’re swooning over some of the amazing interior projects and restorations we’ve found online lately. One the common threads in this week’s top three highlights include Annie Sloan Chalk Paint – helping you transform mundane and outdated furniture into one-of-a-kind treasures. Here we share three that we are totally into!

The first is this phenomenal trunk transformation by The House Warmings! To Chalk Paint something is to nurture it, and thus, inevitably, to love it. This trunk, done up in Amsterdam Green, Old White and Svenska Blue is so beautiful it’s giving us butterflies. We like to imagine it’s painted Emperor’s Silk inside, because there’s nothing quite so exciting as when the object of your affection opens up to reveal another side of themselves and surprise you.

The next one we love for different reasons. Whilst not as head turning as the vision above in emerald greens, this one reminds us of a divine midsummer’s afternoon spent sipping sweet iced tea, enjoying the buzz of the bees in the lavender, and pottering busily as the sun shines down on our Chalk Paint® tins. This clever pot plant display is painted with different colours – each step in a different shade, because variety is the spice of life.

This is a nonpareil project for anybody with a small garden as it gives you tons of extra room for beautiful planters ~ our top tip is to languorously trail something deliciously scented up the sides, or place earthy, fragrant herbs in pots at nose height. Then simply sit back and allow yourself to be enchanted by this quick and easy Chalk Paint project designed to delight all your senses.

How delightful in blue is this chair? Though this faded yet vibrant, rustic yet modern chair is a remarkable mix of contradictions, it’s actually just the result of a partnership of two Chalk Paint colours (and, admittedly, a rather talented brush wielder in the form of Redesign by Agnieszka). Provence and Old White have been mixed and applied in thick, lavish strokes to create that ravishing texture. The more we look at this piece, the more we see, and the more charmed we are.

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint can be used in a variety of ways – and will surely spice up your interiors with colour, texture and new energy.
